Good news MMORPG lovers! E-Games announced that the English version of RAN Online (ä¹± Online), the MMORPG in the works at Min Communications, has entered open beta. This is the first campus-based MMORPG in Malaysia. Heres the news:

e-Games proudly bring you the open beta version of the first campus-based MMORPG in Malaysia (English Version), RAN Online at 3.00pm on 26th of October 2005. This version is available for download and is Free-to-Play for anybody who is an e-Games member.

RAN Online features a full 3D Japanese campus style setting where the students has to fend his school against dangerous and evil monsters. Joining a different school will result in the player’s character wearing a different uniform and utilising different techniques in fighting. Players can also choose from 4 different types of class- Combat, Sword, Archery and Qigong.

Players will get to enjoy various styles of upgrades, attribute upgrades and stunning skill interface. Apart from gaining levels from killing monsters, players will have to complete multiple mission types. This game features a “Combat Mode” duel activation whereby players can request combat mode between guilds, party and also 1 vs 1 duels. Players also face the challenge of training their characters all the way to level 200.

RAN Online will be also launching its Item Purchase model, where players will be able to purchase many unique items using e-points. Following the release of RAN Online Open Beta, a slew of in-game events have already been planned for the enjoyment of players.

Interested players are welcomed to join in our RAN Expedition 2005, which will be held around Johor and Singapore on middle of November 2005. We will be giving out free game packs and lots of freebies during the road show.

I didn’t know about this new MMORPG in Malaysia until i saw alot of people looking for RAN Online Bot and ended up in my old entry. Since im an avid MMORPG player that played Legends Online, Survival Project, Maple Story, Raganarok Online, ROSE. I downloaded RAN Online and tried it myself. There are some missing features which im not happy about. In most 3D MMORPG you can right click and drag to view 360 degrees of your environment but in RAN Online you can’t, you must use left and right arrows to look around which is a fuss. Another thing is they don’t have the build in screen capture function in the game, you must manually press printscreen on your keyboard and paste it in window.
