IKEA Malaysia
Friday, December 16th, 2005 at 3:54 pm in My LifeYesterday was the first time i step foot in IKEA because i was looking for chairs, the one im sitting now is killing my back and what make it worse is that i need to sit on it 12, 13 hours per day blogging at home. The IKEA at Damansara is huge and you can find any furniture there. If im not mistaken that is the only IKEA store in Malaysia.
Actually i didn’t want to go to IKEA on purpose, i wanted to bring my gf to Marche restaurant in the first place but she pulled me into IKEA and look around so i have no choice. After walking around in IKEA i saw some freakin nice working chair so i decided to try sit on it. I have to tell you…i never sit on such comfortable chair before in my whole life. I really got to have them!
I’ve decided to buy either Aras(RM1k+) or Allaka(RM300+). Both are like big boss chair and its so comfortable that you can fell asleep sitting on it. When i reach home i search for IKEA Malaysia website to take a look at my chairs again but really felt dissapointed. Take a look at the website and you’ll know why. It sucks! Basically you can’t find anything there because the online flash catalog loads so slow and it is not user friendly at all with the stupid zoom in and zoom out feature. Please don’t think that flash navigation thingie is very cool and awesome, that is the core factor that makes the site useless. Compare to IKEA USA website, our local one looks like a website done overnight.

Ya, the website sure suck big time. I am even more disappointed when I could not find any online information about promotions for IKEA Friends either from IKEA website or Alliance Bank website.

u should grab urself a copy of their catalogue for the year 2006, its free and valid for the whole year
and yeah, the website is really bad
