Chitika and AdSense
Wednesday, September 28th, 2005 at 10:25 am in InternetI've seen alot of people using Chitika nowadays and i still have doubt whether Chitika and AdSense can be used on the same page. Here's what i read from Darren's review:
The email I received back said that they were sorry for making a mistake and that Chitika mini-mall ads can be used in conjunction with Adsense IF they are set to be non contextual.
After reading Darren's review on Chitika, i now have a pretty good idea on Chitika and i think i'll start using it along with AdSense because i read from everywhere that Chitika is paying really well.
Important note: Do not directly place Chitika code into your page, because it is against AdSense TOS for having contextual ads in the same page. To make Chitika non contextual, you need to put this into the code:
This will create iPod mini ads. If you want coconut ads then just type in coconut. The above code is just for those who want specific ads. If you want to rotate the Chitika ads then put this instead:
var ch_queries = new Array('ipod mini', 'ball', 'xbox');
var ch_selected = Math.floor((Math.random() * ch_queries.length));
ch_query = ch_queries[ch_selected];
That's it you're done. Thank you Darren for the tips!
So go sign up for a Chitika now.
Update: I registered to Chitika when i posted this entry and in just 1 hour they approved my application instead of taking few days to review my site! Talk about fast service
