Emmeline Ng Wei Shu Biography
Age: 22
Height: 5′11.5″ (1.82 m)
Currently: Finance Student
KUALA LUMPUR: Emmeline Ng received one of the toughest questions, but her confident answer stole the hearts of the judges at the Miss Malaysia / World 2005 pageant.
The question was: “You have been given two minutes with a suicidal person. What would you say to convince that person that life is worth living?�
The 22-year-old Ng’s answer was: “I would tell him to live on for his family because they are always there for you, that you should never give up as life is full of miraculous twists and turns and that it is worth taking risks in life, as the greater the risks, the greater the returns.â€?
This answer helped clinched Ng the title, and a Fiat Coupe 2.0, among other prizes at the pageant at a leading hotel here last night.
The banking and finance undergraduate’s initial reaction to winning was: “Overwhelmed, surreal, and I can’t believe it’s happening.â€?
“I wasn’t in it to win and that’s why I was really overwhelmed,� she added while holding back tears of joy.
When asked what it was that she had learned from the pageant, Ng said: “It’s to be true to what you believe in and to never let negativity stop you.�
Natassia Tan was first runner-up, Rachel Looi second runner-up and Allison Tay third runner-up.
Earlier in the evening, Miss Malaysia / World franchise holder Datuk Vincent Lee presented proceeds from the pageant totalling RM100,000 to the Special Children Society of Ampang.

Hey, why not? She’s easily more Malaysian than any one of the other finalists. You should see them without any make-ups on. I’m surprised at how even at this age and time we still haven’t find a miss malaysia we can call our very own. No offences to the four winners - they looked great - but take a look at the pics above and at one glance you my very well mistaken it as either Miss China, Miss Chinatown, Miss Hong Kong… you get my drift.

hmm….i tink she’s jus lucky to get tht question, more to life question while the others get crazy questions! ..cos she din do well in othe aspects though..i was at the finals..n yea the ntv7 interview wasnt tat good…n she hav a very big large face..notice she owes had her photo taken side ways all the time…i guess m’sia is too keen on gettin someone taller instead of someone more with brains..cos she really f***ed up her chances in Miss World in Santya china (watch Star World Miss World 2006 n u will know why)

she looks too common..nothing special..u can find lotsa that kinda face on the streets in kl with sexy clothes…choose someone with tanned skin instead like chindian, malay or bumiputra’s or chinese with tanned skin..that’ll show our differences to the world..im sure we’ll stand a chance to win and of course not some pan asian faces please..go to europe ull find thousands more beautiful…let china or hong kong represent chinese faces but please we are malaysia…it has to represent all of us..at least a mix of something interesting..
