Versatile Crawford due in KL next month

Kuala Lumpur: Come next month, Kuala Lumpur will play host to one of the most beautiful women in the world.
Cindy Crawford, who has appeared on the covers of more than 600 magazines worldwide, will be here on Aug 18 to launch a new jewellery line by watchmaker Omega called the Bijoux collection.
Besides modelling, Crawford, 39, has dabbled in acting, hosting and producing.
These days, however, she is known as a savvy businesswoman. Last year she launched a new line of skincare products called Meaningful Beauty.
Crawford, who is an Omega Star brand ambassador, will make her public appearance at the Cortina Watch Espace outlet in Starhill Gallery, where she will also offer an Omegamania watch from her personal collection for a charity auction.
The watch, with 41 diamonds on its face, is made of 18-carat white gold and comes with a red mother-of-pearl dial and lacquered-red calfskin strap.
The watch casing bears Crawford’s signature.
This will be the first Omegamania watch to make its debut in Asia.
Bidding for the watch starts at RM28,200 and closes on Aug 14.
All proceeds from the auction will go to Sunbeams Home and Rumah Sayangan.
