Prevent Computer From Harming Your Eyes

Alot of working people from morning to night staring at computer screen when working, they use their eye too much and thus causes eye strain, eye dryness, headache, head strain or even feel like vomitting. But they still havent notice that themselves are starting to face the risk of being blind. Is there any strategy can be used to save this generation’s people from destroying their eye?
Experts suggested a few way to tackle this problem:
PAY ATTENTION TO THE LIGHT SOURCE POSITION: computer monitor should be placed near the light source, and the important part is the surrounding brightness should not be stronger than the monitor brightness. lower the surrounding brightness so that monitor wont reflect those light directly into your eye causing eye discomfort. Most hurtful reflect light comes from flouresence light and the sun. use anti-reflection monitor or close the curtain can reduce this problem.
LET YOUR EYE REST: usage of pc every 40 to 50 minutes, should let eye rest 10 to 15 minutes. the younger age, the usage time should be reduce. US hospital center suggested, every 10 minutes should get your eye to look away from monitor, use 10 second to look up or far away objects. when resting your eye the eye ball should move around and close your eyes or look far objects, prevent from looking at near object again.
CHANGE YOUR WORKING PACE: every two hours stand up and walk around, let your body and eye rest for a while.
REMEMBER TO BLINK YOUR EYES: alot of people when they use computer, their eye blinking amount will reduce. this will result in reducing the moist of your eyeball thus creating discomfort. if need to work long time on pc, get a eye moist drop. but can someone who wear contact lenses use eye drop? Doctor says to prevent drops chemical from staying on the contact lenses, it is better to wear disposable ones instead.
KEEP YOUR SITTING POSTURE WELL: good posture can prevent neck and back injuries. In the doctor’s world there is a saying: “head need support, hand wrist need support, back need support, leg need support”.
ADJUST THE MONITOR: maintain a distance between your eye and your monitor. The distance should keep at arms length. When looking at small font, dont move your eye near to the monitor, instead you should bigger the font. you should lower the monitor so that you are viewing the monitor at 10 to 20 degrees below your eye level. One important part thing is that monitor should always be kept clean, why? because dust which stay on the monitor will easily reflect the light thus damaging your eye. monitor blurness or flicker should also repair immediately.
WEAR SUITABLE EYE WEAR: it is good for those who work under long hours staring at monitor should get a computer glasses which can reduce harmful ray from monitor.

For ppl like me that face the computer for 10 hours a day, all nasihat also not quite useful one la.

ppl like me face the computer for 8 hours at work then face the notebook at home until 2 or 3am. got 1 time i online until 20 hours…lol never take my eyes off my notebook.
